"For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
Today I had a long talk with my older sister, and we worked out some things that had been bothering me for a while. I'm so grateful to the Lord for giving me Sarah. She encouraged me to read my bible daily - I had been letting that slip. So, I opened up to Isaiah. What a precious book full of the promises God gave to His people! I realized that I must view myself as nothing compared to God - "the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity!"
Mr. Getsch said it well, I think. "Humility is really very simple. It is thinking no more and no less of yourself than you ought."
